Chicken Parmesan- Serves 6 People

One of the reasons this recipe has been a favorite of ours is because you are getting all of those good hearty flavors of an Italian dish with only a fraction of the time spent on preparing it.

Prep time is everything when you are trying to make a quick and easy everyday meal and this recipe is quick to prepare! Since all ingredients are being added into one baking dish and placed in the oven, there’s no extra steps. Doesn’t get much simpler than that.

I chose to list frozen breadsticks as a side for this dish, but you can buy refrigerated pizza dough and cut them into strips and make these up ahead of time per package instructions to serve with the meal. You can also double this recipe to feed more people.

Ingredients:

3 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts, butterflied

1 Jar of Marinara sauce

Shredded Cheddar cheese

Shredded Mozzarella

Shredded Parmesan

Italian Bread crumbs

1 box of frozen garlic or parmesan bread sticks

1/2 tsp each-dried parsley, dried basil, dried oregano, garlic salt or powder

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a glass baking dish (9 X 12) pour the marinara sauce. Add the raw butterfly cut chicken breasts on the sauce, try not to overlap. Add the breadcrumbs, seasonings and layer cheese over top. Sprinkle a little parsley over the cheese. Bake uncovered for 30-40 minutes. Take out the chicken dish, and bake the frozen breadsticks per instructions on box.
